The Blount County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer’s promote safe, secure learning environments that enhance quality education in a positive and professional manner utilizing the principles of community oriented policing.
Respect We respect the rights of all people. We believe all persons were created equal and entitled to be treated fairly with human dignity, without favoritism or prejudice. We strive to protect the rights of the citizens of our community.
Integrity We perform our duties in an honest and ethical manner always conscious of our responsibility to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the laws of The State of Alabama in a fair and consistent manner. We hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of professional and moral conduct to present a positive role model for our students.
Service We dedicate ourselves to providing quality professional service to the public and the Blount County Board of Education. In accepting this responsibility, we strive to protect life and property and to support safe learning and working environments for students, faculty and staff.
Education We accept the challenge to offer instruction for students that is designed to strengthen and encourage positive, productive lifestyles. We will strive to identify students’ needs and problems and attempt to divert these students from the Criminal Justice System through effective counseling and education. We encourage continuing development of the best knowledge, skills and abilities of our chosen profession through advanced education and training.
